Just right Car Stereo for your buck!

Cons: * No changer controls * No satillite controls * No case(Opional $$)

The Bottom Line: Bottom line this is a SONY a brand you can trust. Do your shoping but look at all the hidden features with out buying opitional equipment.

CDX-GT420IP is a well design unit for the money. I installed this unit my self in a 99 Honda Civic with out an installation kit. I did purchace a hardness which made it a breeze. The sound is awsome compared to the stock radio with enough kick for most. Now I will need to upgrade the rear speakers due to the age of them (9 yrs).
Overall controls for the Ipod need getting used too. I just have it on shuffle all. I LOVE the fact that it play a DATA CD (MP3, WMA etc.)I can go for weeks before I change out a cd. I used to be an XM subscriber NOT any more.(No need).

For the money spent I am very happy. There are other feature that I like but that will just take me to the next price bracket and then I will want another feature and it will be an never ending crave that will eventualy break me.

This unit is down to earth with the basic function for everday use.

I give it a 8.8 out of 10.
It lost some pionts because:
It does not come with a storing case
No light control wire (for dimming the brightness)
No changer controls (pretty basic for today)
