The Bottom Line: The shuffle is extremely lightweight, durable, works very well, has an extremely long battery life, and has alot of memory for such a small mp3 player. It's a fantastic product.

The Bottom Line: If you don't like being weighted down by gadgets get shuffling. It's simple but powerful. The lack of screen does not detract from the usefulness of this player.

Small, long battery life -- great for deployment

The Bottom Line: Great for deployment. Won't hold your entire library, but it will go wherever Uncle Sam sends you and put up with just about anything you subject it to.

Conquering the low-end player market.

The Bottom Line: This is a great choice for a low-cost, portable, well-built MP3 player with a great supporting application for PC and Mac.

Great, sexy, minimalist player

The Bottom Line: A sleek mix of design, portability, and spartan operation (not to mention great looks), makes this a great value and a cool toy.
Review: I understand that it is very popular to bash anything that Apple markets. It's a phenomenon not unlike Bose-bashing in the audio world.

That being said, allow to say that, no, the Shuffle was not my first choice. It was a Christmas gift...
