Convert those old VHS tapes to DVDs!

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2009
The Bottom Line: A nice simple machine to attach to the old VCR and make long lasting DVD copies of your slowly corroding VHS favorites.
Review: The VHS format is becoming obsolete. The time to convert your favorites to DVD is now, easy and inexpensive.

That old, bulky collection of VHS recordings will decompose over time and VHS players are on the verge of obsolescence. You can...

Great concept, flawed execution!

Date of Review:  May 12, 2008
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't bother with this burner as it has too many non-sensical limitations. Wait for something better that handles dual layer DVDs from any input.
Review: I bought this DVD burner thinking this would be a great way to help my transition from Mini-DV tapes to my new hard drive based camcorder as I could burn all my tapes to DVD, and then burn from my hard drive camcorder to DVD also. This was a simple...

A Very Handy Thing To Have

Date of Review:  May 31, 2008
The Bottom Line: I recommend this to anyone who has several videos to transfer and only has old video equipment.
Review: I originally bought the SONY VRD-MCF DVD Recorder because I have an old (purchased in 2000) 8 mm. video camera. I wanted to view my home videos on my computer as well as covert them to DVD format. Rather than buy expensive and complicated software...

The only electronic gadget my wife loves to use!

Date of Review:  Sep 30, 2009
The Bottom Line: Makes DVD creation easy and fast for almost everybody, even the ones with no technical background or computer experience.
Review: So we all know the burdens of transferring our digital videos from your camcorder (specially a hard drive recording camera) to a regular DVD so you can pass them to friends and family in an easily viewable format. My wife used to complain to me all...
