Great camera for a beginner

I personal think this camera is great, especially for a beginner in digital photography. It takes great pictures with a lot of different settings. The night shot is terrific. it turns out crystal clear even in the dark. The only down side to that is you have to be within a certain range (feet) to capture the picture. Even though this camera takes AA batteries, you can upgrade to rechargable batteries and be just fine. The zoom is good for beginners. It has red eye detection which is a must when taking that family picture. The camera is light weight and easy to carry along anywhere. The camera comes with a 32MB memory card which will not hold that many pictures, I suggest that you upgrade to a larger card. With the Canon Power Shot, you have the ability to use the feature of movie shooting. Depends on your memory card size as to how long you will be able to shoot.Canon also gives you a very nice user guide to all of the features of the camera. You can also playback right on the LED screen the movie that you just recorded. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone, even an advanced user. The quality of the pictures are awesome.
