Lots of Features, Little Durability
Date of Review: Sep 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: Ideal for people that do not put phones in their pants pockets.
Wow...those features. I went into Best Buy to trade up for my Motorola Razor and was introduced to this phone. I got a silver one with speakers and headphones, which I thought was pretty impressive. These speakers were about 1.5" cubes, but still had pretty good sound...coming from the AM/FM radio...on my phone. That was pretty cool, then I learned about all the fitness features it has on it, like a pedometer! I mean really, a pedometer? I had 3 solid months of use with it before I noticed that one of the two front buttons didn't light up like the other one, and then a few months more and I had to press harder and harder to get it to work at all. I eventually had to have AT&T send me a knew one. That one's microphone didn't work, so I had to get yet another one. It worked well, despite having an odd fuzzy sound in the speaker. Then I dropped the phone from a startling height of approximately 2 feet and off came the face plate, some buttons came out, and the screen was barely hanging on. I tried in vain to get the thing back together...still not sure how that face plate is supposed to clip on.
Overall, an extremely nice phone with features you'd find on other higher priced phones, but the durability reminds you why it's not priced like those other phones. Handle with care!
