Author's Review
When my circa 1994 stereo stopped working about a month ago, I started researching new systems, and this system along with a few others seemed like a good choice. I actually ran across this system at a charity auction this week, and picked it up for $80, which was extremely reasonable.
The system is sleek and attractive and wall mountable, which allows me to display it in my 1920s art deco living room, which is a first. My prior sound systems have all been stashed in a closet, because I never liked the looks of them.
The sound quality is just right for me, but likely not high enough for someone with a more expert ear than I, such as my jazz musician brother.
This is the only sound system I have in my home, and I was a bit concerned when I bought it that the volume might not be enough for me to hear music throughout my home, which is just under 1500 square feet. However, the volume is more than enough, even for small parties. And the sound does not distort as the volume increases to its highest levels, which was a nice surprise.
The only downfall so far is that it will play only one song from my iPod, but that may be user error. I've not figured out how to organize the songs properly perhaps? Not quite sure.
Overall, it's a great little system, and I highly recommend.
