Product Review

Whirlpool Single Wall Oven RBS305PD

by   dimoc ,   Oct 26, 2005

Pros:  There are no redeeming qualities of this unit.

Cons:  Seven year cumulative repair expense has almost exceeded the initial purchase price.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

Total piece of junk. Self clean cycle causes total oven non- function. Even with Whirlpool's upgrade cooling fix, every cleaning cycle burns out the flush mount SPDT thermostat, a $35.00 replacement part plus the service call if you cannot do the repair yourself. Total and absolute disregard for consumer safety. Total denial of responsibility by whirlpool customer service representatives. The failing part has been on Whirlpool's top 250 failed parts list since 2002. I'm waiting for my house to burn down so I can sue for willful distribution of arson products.
