Great Product

This is an outstanding product. Simple to set up, simple to use and it works very well.

I like gadgets and that was a primary reason that I first bought it but it is much more than a cute toy. Now that I have it, I will use it always. Any avid bar-b-quer knows that trying to determine when the food is done is not always easy. Any thermometer can help but this one does more.

One of the more challenging aspects of cooking, particularly cooking outside, is coordinating the items so all will be ready at the same time. Since this thermometer gives constant "real-time" temp readings, one can easily estimate how much longer it will take for the item to be done. This is very helpful in determining when other items need to be preped. Keep in mind that the monitor is remote from the grill or oven. Thus, you can be with your guests, enjoying a beverage rather than hovering around the grill, opening it every so often, poking and turning and trying to get some items done without burning the others.

It even has a beeper that warns when the item is almost done.

If you cook out a lot, this is well worth the $30 it costs.
