If you want a toaster that works well and is built solidly, this is it. It's fast and dependable. No problem with repeated use. Stainless steel cleans easily. Great crumb tray pulls out from the front. The toaster requires a 240-volt circuit, but that's because its very powerful (2700 watts). The most you can get from a 120-volt circuit is 2400 watts. That's the secret to fast toast - raw power, and this toaster has it. After years of poky toasters, we got one of these and now there's no undue waiting for breakfast toast. Really nice in our routine each morning. The only drawback might be that the slots won't fit enormous pieces of bread, but for toast, it's the best. It will fit sliced bagel halves. Most American houses have 240-volts available, but in some urban areas or high rise apartments, it might be 208 volts. There is a difference and if you want this toaster, be sure you get the right voltage (a -B model is for 208 volts). If you're handy, you can run the 240-volt line. If not, or if laws require it, you'll need an electrician and that will probably be costly (about $200).
