We purchased Vtech Dect 6.0 digital cordless phone with base on
http://www.elols.com/index.php?name=Shop&mode=electronics&searchtype=KeywordSearch&language=en&search=vtech%20dect%206 for 49.99 plus shipping. We purchased this phone, because our Panasonic was no longer functioning and we decided to switch from Panasonic line. Also, Panasonic phones with similar features were a way more expensive. So far I do not have problems with this phone, however I found that it lacks some important features (at least, for me). Headphone output is missing and when I was with my bank customer support online for 15 minutes, I had to keep speaker phone on. Phone is slim and you cannot hold it with your shoulder, so headphone output would be a very nice addition to it. Also, I cannot find speed dial option. Well, it is not crucial for me but for some people it may be a disappointment
Screen displays time, date, caller information and conversation time.
Stylish modern looking (reminds opened motorola razr cell phone) and inexpensive phone. Easy to use, simple answering machine features, nice and pleasant backlights with very clear sound.
Phone lacks basic options. If you buy additional phone, then phone book and programming need to be done individually for each phone set.
Poor reception outside of my home, where 2.4G Panasonic had no problems to receive signal. Headphone output is missing.
