"Is that a diesel?"

The Bottom Line: Nice balance of economy, quality and style. The TDI engine is a great choice if diesel is available where you're traveling.
Review: It's a question I heard a lot at the pump after I purchased the 2001 VW Jetta TDI. I have heard everything from, "What kind of mileage do you get?" to "Is that one of those hybrids?" :)

Jetta not well built

The Bottom Line: This car is a poor value for the money and should be avoided. I would not wish the problems I have experienced with this car on anyone.

Problems yet still loveable.

The Bottom Line: Volkswagens are excellent entry-level German sedans but they do have their problems. Because of this, I rate the Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T as above average but withhold my recommendation.
Review: The problem with reviewing the Jetta is that even though it has been my most problematic car I still love it the most. Perhaps Volkswagen has done a good job of alleviating cognitive dissonance, or maybe it's my rationalization for buying a car with...

The Bottom Line: The car are made with high quality, with maintenance at low cost. The car are economical in highway, and the prices between gasoline and diesel are more cheapest.
Review: The car have a good design. But the car comes without cd player, and speaker in the rear part.
When you drive in highway with air conditioning on, the car dont lose the power.
In city maybe you spend more money in diesel than the highway...

You won´t find this anywhere else under 40K

Awesome car, even all these years later

Review: Yeah, so it's hardly a "babe magnet" but the Jetta Wagon *is* cool. Mine is silver with black leather interior. 7 years later and it's still got under 45k miles and is going strong. The handling is smooth and it's a pleasurable car to drive.
