Good in some ways, bad in others

The Bottom Line: For $25 they are great; they are a good entry level pair of decent headphones then when the cord breaks you can upgrade.
They have a decent sound; until I got the fit tight they sounded just like my original sansa headphones but the silicon earbuds really seal tight and then the bass comes thru. The midrange and treble is just fine too. Unfortunately what were they thinking with that cord? They are absolutely the flimsiest things I've ever seen, worse than a cheapo dollar store pair's cord. Oh well, maybe they are stronger somehow than they look because if not my cord is probably going to short out eventually right where the plug meets the cord but I'm looking forward to enjoying them until that happens. They really cancel out the outside noise which is either good or bad. Someone came by while I was checking them out today and if I hadn't seen my dog going crazy at the door I wouldn't have known anyone was there and I was sitting about six feet away, so they do cut out noise. Unfortunately I won't hear cars and will have to be extra careful riding my bike etc. I tried the in the ear type before: jvc brand from walmart and they were uncomfortable in the ear and didn't sound even as good as my sansa headphones and they were $25 which is exactly what I paid for these including shipping from amazon and received them within a week so overall I like them but that cord is a bummer.
