Good phone but has its problems

The Bottom Line: If you really need a 5.8ghz, 2-line phone now buy this phone. Its the best currently available. If you can wait, the competition might come up with something better.
Review: I bought this phone (and 4 additional handsets) about 1 month ago to replace a 2.4ghz siemans 2400 phone that was experiencing interference from a neighbors wireless lan. See below for info on wireless lan interference with cordless phones.

You Can Phone Home About The Uniden TRU8866 Cordless

Uniden 2-line 5.8Ghz phone not quite there yet

The Bottom Line: No flexibility in location of powered speakerphone (and only one allowed) and resulting impact on signal range render the phone unusable. No DnD per handset very inconvenient.

Best of the options but has it's problems

The Bottom Line: If you need a two-line, 5.8GHz phone, this is currently the best bet. If you don't, it's still worth considering but there may be better options.

Very good phone with some quirks

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a multi handset phone this one is worth looking at. If you are thinking up upgrading you need to consider what you might be losing.

So Close and Yet So Far...

The Bottom Line: If your needs include Chain Dialing, find another phone. If not then consider this model - it is a strong performer.

Good all-round phone

Great System, Good Price

The Bottom Line: Avoid Uniden. Phones are phones, but if you have problems, you want someone who can help.
Review: We replaced an nearly identical Uniden System with this after we lost two handsets during the move.

We moved into a house more than double the size of our old house, not to mention having a garage. Not every space in the house had a phone...
