Britney Goes to Starbucks! Brangelina Goes to the Gas Station!
Pros:
fairly accurate gossip, great pics
Cons:
Like any addiction, it can get expensive!
The Bottom Line:
You can spend $4 on a coffee, or you can buy this magazine.
I'd go with the magazine.

Author's Review
Celebrities-they're just like us (except skinnier, prettier, and dressed better)-and US Weekly wants you to know that!
Why I get so much pleasure out of reading about Britney's latest crisis, Lindsay Lohan's latest trip to rehab, or Posh's new haircut is beyond me, but I'm definitely addicted. Maybe it's because my own life is so boring. Maybe it's because hey, I like Mocha Frappucinos too! Maybe it's because 5 years later, I still haven't lost the "baby weight" from having my daughter, and I love to hate the beautiful women who are skinny- and flawlessly beautiful-2 weeks after giving birth. Whatever the reason, I've been an avid reader of US Weekly for years.
If there is a format to US Weekly, I haven't noticed it (not that I care). I know that every issue has an astrology section and a part at the end called Fashion Police, but other than that, there just seems to be page after page of interviews, gossip, and glossy photos of gorgeous celebrities in dresses that cost more than my car. I don't have a problem with this, but if you're looking for something more structured, US Weekly may not be the right magazine for you. Then again, if you're into structure, you're probably reading the Wall Street Journal instead of weekly tabloids.
Star, OK!, In Touch-they've all got celeb gossip and glossy photos too, but they're just not as good (or reliable) as US Weekly. Their photos look cheap. Their interviews suck. Their gossip isn't even gossip-it seems to be completely fabricated by the writers. Sure, they're cheaper than US Weekly (currently $3.99 an issue), but who cares? Well...actually, *I* cared for awhile when I realized I was spending over $200 a year by purchasing US Weekly every Friday (I could have bought a Gucci bag with that money!). Luckily, I found a 3 year subscription for $3.95 on Ebay (who would have guessed Ebay had magazine subscriptions?!), and I have about 2 years of juicy gossip left.
