Author's Review
Well I'll admit I am a Bruce Springsteen fan(atic). I have all of his released material. I buy each new release the day it comes out. And well... I love all of his music... some a little more than others.
So I may be a little prejudiced, but I loved this set. Of course I would have preferred a larger selection. Four disks with 66 songs was pretty great though.
My favorite selection on the set is 'Back in Your Arms' on disk 4. It is such a deep, moving song. I was hoping to see him perform this song live on his current tour, but he really played limited Tracks material. I also really enjoy the 'Born in the USA' version he does on this disk... it was reworked for the 'Ghost of Tom Joad' tour... and much better than the original version.
There are some familiar songs, 'Johnny Bye-Bye', 'Janey Don't You Lose Heart', 'Pink Cadillac' and 'Shut Out the Light'. There was also enough new material to keep a fan like me happy.
Lots of the songs are really fun 'Give the Girl a Kiss', 'Where the Bands Are', 'Lion's Den', 'Stand On It'. And I love the sentiments of 'The Wish' (that one really speaks to my mother's heart!).
Overall I would highly recommend this to every Springsteen fan out there... For the novice Springsteen listener I would stick with some of his earlier works 'Born To Run', 'Darkness on the Edge of Town' or even his Greatest Hits album.
