We bought this Avalon XLS new in 1996 and have had absolutely NO problems out of it!! WE have got almost 60,000 miles on the engine, and it still purrs like it was new. This has got to be the most comfortable large import in its class. It is reasonably priced, has a great crash-test rating, and has LOTS of room (even the trunk is very large)!

We have the oil changed every 3,000 miles, and do all required maintenance, and expect this car to last to about 200,000 miles. This is a heavy riding car, and is very comfortable on long road trips. The noise level inside the car is very low.....and the engine has great acceleration and handling capabilities.
Three adults can fit in the back seat comfortably, and the factory sound system is more than adequate. Gas mileage is great, in town is 24mpg, and hiway is 34 mpg, no kidding. This car is a real gem.
