Pros: Reliability, Style & Space

Cons: High floor, underpowered, tight front seating (for 6' or taller drivers)

I have always owned a GM vehicle (S-Blazers) and have been disappointed in many areas of quality, fit and finish etc. The 4Runner does everything better than the GM's Ive owned. After 7 years of use and 111k, the 4runner runs well and EVERYTHING still works great. Sunroof, AC, 4WD- its wonderful.

The cons are that this truck is woefully underpowered. The 3.0L V6 belongs in a 3000lb Camry not a 4100lb 4runner. Passing is a chore for my truck. (the GM 4.3l engine would be a dream in the 4runner). Also, I am 6'2" and seem to kiss my knees everytime I drive this truck. The floor is too high and the front seat needs to go back another 3-4 in for me to be comfortable.

I can understand why the resale values are so high, the fit and finish is excellent, Consumer Reports rates it well, parts are easy to find and it looks great.
