I purchased my Prius October 2007, and it was one of the top 5 best decisions for the year! I actually traded in my Land Rover Discovery and have been oh-so glad that I did that!
Now that the gas prices have finally come down... it's been even more of a treat to drive. Today, with the prices being $1.69/gallon... it only cost me $12.00 to fill up. And living in the Phoenix-area, it is convenient to go on weekend roadtrips to Las Vegas or Southern California. I calculated that my most recent road trip to Vegas only cost me $30.00. Not bad!
Also, I love the navigation system... and miss it terribly when I use a rental car w/o navigation. The one thing that I don't like regarding the navigation system, is that you have to be stopped to enter anything. Which I suppose is probably a good safety feature... huh?
I have the cloth interior which I love out here in Arizona! The leather would definitely be too hot in the summer months.
And it was mandatory for me to get the Bluetooth system installed - - which I absolutely love, love, love! It is so convenient when I am on a roadtrip or anywhere else for that matter, to not have to hold the phone against my ear.
Performance wise- - the pickup is considerably better than my previous Honda Civic hybrid that I had.
Room - - there's TONS of room in the car. Comfortably seats five, and there's tons of room for luggage in the rear cargo/trunk area.
I'm averaging right now... around 47mpg, but I have had as much as 52mpg.
Also I put a lifetime K & N air filter inside. It hasn't seemed to help with the gas mileage, but at least I don't have to change the air filter until the next 1,000,000 miles.
