I traded in my wife's '92 Corolla with 182,000 and still running like it had 20,000. But I wanted her to have a newer car with newer features like CD and airbags.
We look around and picked the 2008 Corolla because of both the price and the gas mileage ($4.20 at the time).
We've driven it about 20,000 miles so far and it is sweet.
I'm a bigger car person (Volvo, Camry) -I don't like small cars on the freeway- but I'm totally comfortable with this Corolla, in fact test driving a new Camry it seemed too big!
This car is well built. When you close the door it sounds solid.
