3D Platformer with a twist.

Date of Review: Mar 25, 2000

There are many 3D Platform games on N64, some excellent (Banjo, Mario, DK64, Rayman 2) and some dire (Chameleon Twist etc.), Tonic Trouble however belongs in the "average" category. The gameplay and graphics are no where near bad but simply arent near as good as Rayman 2 and Banjo, because of this I would find it difficult to recommend the game to anyone unless they already own all the "excellent" platform games.

Tonic Trouble has some wacky twists and some original aspects that set it apart from the rest, you find yourself flying around and sliding down slopes a lot which all helps to prevent the 'repetative' feel that 3d platform games can have.

My opinion: Try before you buy!
