What Do You Want on Your Tombstone?

There are a lot of great things to say about this movie. Let's just start off with a little cast list so you can get a feel for the quality of talent brought in for it.

Okay... those are just the big names. The rest of the supporting cast does an outstanding job in this movie too, but if you're familiar with most of the names on this list then you know the quality of work that you're in for.

Tombstone is a boom town of the old west that brings the Earp brothers seeking their share of fortune to go along with Wyatt's fame from his days as a law man in Dodge City, Kansas.

The story that ensues is one of the best action/drama/light comedy movies that has ever been made. I'm not much for the whole western genre of film, but this movie has me hooked. A strong script surrounded by a great cast to pull it off to perfection.

Val Kilmer stands out as Doc Holliday... a quick tongued conman with a reputation, but friend of the Earps. There is a love story that doesn't belong here and kind of distracts from the storyline at times, but overall it doesn't interfere with the movie too much.

While this movie is endlessly entertaining, it is not a historical representation of the events of Tombstone. The writers took much liberty with information ranging from the Earp brothers who were there to the events of the OK Corral shoot-out.

Highly recommended film if you're looking for something entertaining or like the other works of the bigger name stars. You'll be in for a treat. If you're looking for a historical recreation of what happened in the area at this time... steer as far clear of Tombstone as you can. Otherwise... have at it.
