Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6
(or 101 ways to skin a terrorist)
Though delayed and delayed and delayed for the dreamcast, this is one amazing game, with few flaws.Think of this game as a SWAT team simulation. You start each mission with a detailed briefing including voice samples and pictures of terrorists, allies, locations, and hostages. From there you move to the planning stage where you select a team from an impressively large roster, select equipment based on the location and circumstances <it really does make a difference>,formulate a battle plan using blueprints of the designated target, and make team assignments. From there you move to the actual scenario where you control the leader of one of up to four teams. The locations are varied taking you from an embassy mansion to a jungle fortress to an oil rig to a privately owned mansion and many more. The missions have you doing things such as clearing locations of terrorists, defusing bombs, rescuing hostages, covert survalience, and others. The multiplayer element <yet to be implimented on dreamcast> is excellent, making the replay value for this title huge. There are a few flaws though. The gameplay can get choppy at times <such as when there's more then 3 charcters on screen>,your computer controlled team mates can be rather stupid, and once you've gotten the hand of the game tend to get in the way.Other then those minor flaws the game runs great, and those flaws were on the PC version,so there's no telling what the dreamcast has in store. All in consideration,if you love action packed games, this is defenatly one to pick up.
