Over the rainbow

I used to look forward every year for the day when The Wizard of Oz would be on television. I faithfully watched it every year. Now, I have the video. I have sat and relived the magic of Wizard of Oz more than a few times since I got the video. And now I share it with my daughter who is three. She loves to watch the movie over and over.
I have always loved the spot where Dorothy meets the scarecrow the most. He is my favorite character. So funny and wise. My least favorite spot was when Dorothy was saying goodbye and Toto, her dog, got away from her.
My daughter can't get enough of the Wicked Witch. She yells at her thru the television screen to leave Dorothy alone.
The magic of the books were defininatly brought alive with this movie. I am a big fan of the books too and hope that someday they will do movies of the other OZ books. Although they will not be the same as the first Wizard of Oz.
The music in the movie was great too. My sister and I loved to dance to Follow the Yellow Brick road. Still do.
It is a fun family movie that will always be in my home.
