Pros: Production, beats, rhymes, lyrics, collaborations, purpose, worthwhile skits, bonus tracks -- everything.
Cons: No Fugees collabos, knowing what awaited the post-Miseducation L-Boogie.
The Bottom Line: L may be getting a little funny on us now, but for this one moment, on this one album, she was perfect.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: When ruminating on the topics of faith and Hip-Hop, its difficult to reflect for very long without thoughts turning to Lauryn Hill. Even from the start of her rap career it was obvious to many that L-Boogie would have a major impact on...

Pros: Prodigious talent; oft-great soul/r&b tunes.
Cons: Rapping not up to par; spotty
The Bottom Line: Hill was, once, an able miseducator. Dig up your 1998 CD collection and enjoy.

Review:
Years before reinventing herself as a half-hearted hip-hop folkie and releasing an album, the widely despised Unplugged 2.0, emblazoned with MTV's logo, Lauryn Hill was actually a respected artist, releasing her solo debut The... |

Pros: An intensely emotional roller-coaster ride through the life and heartbreak of a young woman.
Cons: Lauryn's just a wee tad self-righteous for her own good!
The Bottom Line: Despite some flaws, "Miseducation" is one of the most heart-rending, well-produced efforts in recent memory. A must-add to any record collection.

Review: Five ? years later, it's easy to overlook what an accomplishment The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill was. Not only is it easy to forget in light of the millions of sales and the million Grammy awards she won, but also because of the cloudy aftermath,...

Pros: A lot of "classic" stuff
Cons: A little angry at times, but deservedly so in most cases
The Bottom Line: One of the classic debut albums.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: It's been five years since Lauryn Hill released her classic solo debut. Her album was expected to be fire. And she delivered. But it's not like she was a rookie at the time. She was the most talented artist on one of the best rap bands ever, the...

Pros: An energetic and emotional LP full of vibrant music and livid lyricism...
Cons: There ARE some weaker moments
The Bottom Line: Could this be the final true classic from The Fugees camp???
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review:
Lauryn Hill is a bonafied hip-hop superstar, and one of the few artists who remained true to hip-hop while simultaneously being incredibly successful on the mainstream. Lauryn Hill never sold her soul for club anthems. Lauryn never bragged... |

Pros: Distinctive and unparalled vocal talent; articulate and charismatic rapping; wide subject matter but coherent themes.
Cons: Lauryn's personality is represented totally- meaning her flaws as well as virtues are present.
The Bottom Line: Recognised as one of the essential recordings of the 1990s, Miseducation marks Hill as one of modern-urban-music's key figures and potential saviour. Seems crass to say "BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Lauryn Hill is the biggest superstar that never was. Armed with a fierce intellect and fiercer religious convictions, she blasted herself into immortality with her now ubiquitous intepretation of Roberta Flack's 'Killing Me Softly' in 1996, and,...

Pros: True talent-What A Voice! nice lyrics, some good beats
Cons: At times there are a lack of instruments, and while I appreciate the quality of Lauryn's voice, it can make the songs sound a little bland
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Depicting lessons learnt on the streets rather than in the classroom, ?The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill? was undoubtedly the best album of 1998.
After creating the largely popular Fugees? album ?The Score?, Lauryn decided to record her own... |

Pros: Soulful interpretation with jazzy/blues, symphonic melodies with a touch of hip-hop
Cons: Sometimes when one writer writes an entire album, some songs sound the same
The Bottom Line: Originality and funky music. Live instrumentation and groovy drives. Soulful lyrics, messages and powerful vocals. Very poetic. All add up to one thing = A really good album.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: What a set of pipes does the ex-Fugees sister have on her. I remember this as I was growing up in my high school days, this young and gifted woman who decided to show her talent by being a part of the cast of , "Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit" and...

Pros: The soundtrack to my life
Cons: Some interludes seem slightly out of place
The Bottom Line: Buy it now - no album has had an effect on me like that. Maybe it's even changed me as a person.
