I've listened to this album more than 10 times!!!

Ok, I guess Ive learned my lesson from my last review which I think should just stay in my diary ;) They said it was not a very helpful review, it was on Three Days Grace's new album- One X.. But, do read my review on their 1st album- Three Days Grace n on Blunt's allbum. I think that was wayy better :)

First of all, I don't know much about their debut album but I love their singles; "Im Not Okay, Helena n Ghost of You". I think, they're great. So, when I 1st listened to their 1st single of their 2nd album- "Welcome to the Black Parade", I, honestly was quite annoyed by its too-loud n chaotic sound. Their video for that song was fresh n unique; gothic. I must say that I love it, maybe coz Im a bit gothic myself, haha! So, anyway, I then heard a couple of times more of that song n boom! I love it like hell! Especially when I sang my heart out "Will carry on!", it's just..phenomenal!

3 weeks I think after its release, i got the album. A present for my birthday from my Mom =) It was one hell of a listening! The title of the album, "The Black Parade" itself tells that the whole thing is 'dark,sombre, straightforward, meaningful n sad' when it comes to the lyrics in the song n it's 'loud, up-beat, new, unique n wonderful' when it comes to the music. Easier said, "Black" symbolizes the lyrics n "Parade" symbolizes the musics in this album.

Now, for those who haven't bought the album n wants a gist of it or maybe plans to buy it, I hope this review will help :) Here's my reviews n ratings for each track>>

Track 1- The End (7/10)*One of my fave!
If u listen carefully to this song, there are some part in d song that sounds like one of Elvis' but that's not a bad thing at all since Im a fan of d dead man himself, besides, it just add a lil' fun in the song. However, d song's quite short and d moment u feel like dancing around, it ended, what a miss.


Track 2- Dead (6/10)*Not really my fave..
This song's a bit mixed up with all d loud sounds.. But,somehow it's just wonderful. Please, listen to it at least twice n u'll love it! The lyric's straightforward which is just nice when it's twisted with fun-tempo music.
Besides, Im into see-through things,hehe.. Don't get me wrong alrite ;)The composition of d music is quite childish when I hears it, but it's fun =)Adding d "lalala" part with Gerard's voice was adorably funny ;)


Track 3- This is How I Dissapear (9/10)*One of my fave!
D intro of d song shows d whole song's journey.. It's painfully beautiful; d whole song.I just think that d composition's awesome especially it's chorus.It's deep n I think most listeners can connect to it. Beautiful! I kinda cried listening to this song and Gerard's voice is like that of a fallen angel's, bringing you inside the pain.. Towards d end, his voice sounds like a devil's cry..Cool n brilliantly made!


Track 4- The Sharpest Lives (8/10)*One of my fave!
For starters, it's just great wholly! Sometimes, it sounds like an action movie, yeap, that's it! ;) Bang your head folks!!! This song is a specimen of contradiction.. But, it's well written.. I love it! Gerard's voice's just perfect, like watching a good war movie with great background songs.


Track 5- Welcome to the Black Parade (8.5/10)*One of my
fave!
Sounds like a black marching band, great one too! This song's somewhat quite over-the-top but do listen more than once if you dislike it at 1st coz that's what happened to me. Now, I Love It! ;)Gosh, d lyric in this song is one of the most beautiful ones in this album. It's dark n sad, yet
very inspiring n uplifting! Fun up-beat, sad lyric, quite patriotic, mixed-up sound of voice n tunes but calming in a way; now, that's a lot of feelings from just a song. What more to ask!


Track 6- I Don't Love You (8.5/10)*One of my fave!
This one sounds like a strong-slow rock.. Almost ballad like.. Very nice, cute n a nice change after the heart thumping beat from the tracks before. Not as sad as the lyric tells you though.. Wonderful sad lyric.. Sweet too! Gerard sang it well, he sounds 'desperate+angry' which is just the right mood. Lurrve this song!


Track 7- House of Wolves (7.5/10)*One of my fave!
I dunno, but this track sounds a bit like Jet's.. It's catchy, I think it's nice to turn on when you feel like driving like a devil on the damn road..! But please, don't be encouraged by me okay! ;) This song tells about judgement day kinda thing.. I can imagine Gerard singing this song. He must be shaking his head like one mad guy! ;D Oh, however, I don't think I recommend this one
when ure having a headache..

Track 8- Cancer (8.5/10)*One of my fave!
This song has a well-composed, less chaotic n quite simple melody.. Nice ballad but a sad tune.. Great! The band had it well-figured not to make it too long. Like a nice short-break coz if u listen to the words, God, it's depressing! Yet, it's straight from the heart.. It makes you feel sorry for those who've been through such tragic moments. Though, the words are too simple if compared to what it should've n could've meant.. Honestly, I didn't realize when the song ended.. It's sad n it makes you drown with the song which means the band pulled this one off just fine. Love it!

Track 9- Mama (8/10)*One of my fave!
Now, this composition is one sick thing yet good to listen to. It's a bit Mexican-like sometimes..another fun twist :) The tune's almost sarcastic with the way the beat goes and the lyric; pain of a son who's mother does not care of the son's damn feelings. The rage peeps! You freak Mommy! ;D You can imagine the scenes in front of your eyes especially with Gerard's voice, teasing n sarcastic n angry n sad at the same time. I felt like seing scary clowns when listening to this song..oh, I lovve scary things ;) Just adore this track!

Track 10- Sleep (7/10)*Not one of my fave..
Particularly a loud track but somehow just work its chemistry with me. Please dont hear it too loud though, not very good for your ears.. The words here is nothing extravagant compared to its sound n it's not very much my liking..especially when I'm feeling nausea from lack of
sleep ;) But, I like the chorus in particular coz it's like rising from somewhere dark inside the heart..

Track 11- Teenagers (7.5/10)*Not one of my fave..
Hmm, this song's a bit like oldies track, like the era of
Grease+Elvis. Also a bit of cowboy sound..Less dark, a bit too-fun n quite weird n out of place to be one of the track inside this album.. Its story's about typical teenagers things.. Again, see-through-all-the-way lyric. Though, the music's almost like punk-rock style of writing which I don't really like coz they're goth,not punk rock my dear My Chemical Romance.. Obviously, it's not one of the best in the album but it's worth to be played..no harm
done ;)

Track 12- Disenchanted (9/10)*One of my fave!
Gosh, I just love the sound n it's a sensational listening! Like 'listening' to a sad love story n drifts away with it.. I love the ending particularly. The words are sweet n sad at the same time but nothing exceptional. I find it like listening to a sad memory; deeply moving. If only Gerard could inject a bit sadness in his voice, it would be perfect.

Track 13- Famous Last Words (7/10)*Not one of my fave..
Average sound this one is.. I kinda have heard this sound before, somewhere..not soo fresh.. Sometimes, almost like boy band's sound if Gerard's voice is substituted by a more boyish voice. The lyrics too, it's nice but kinda like the sound; boy band kinda thing.. You can still spin it without worrying you'd turn into a boy band freak fans,haha!

Track 14- Blood
I thought my CD player was jamned after all the loud music.. It turned out that this is a hidden track.. Not after the 1 min n 30 sec will you hear a sound.. It's a playful composition, almost Christmasy n musical like. But, the lyric's full of blood.. Ironic but funny ;)
