A good, maybe great, but not perfect compilation

The Bottom Line: For a casual fan, this will satisfy most needs for a pre-90's U2 compilation.  The die-hard fan should probably go straight to their albums.
Review: I bought The Best of 1980-1990 right when it came out, and I was very glad to, as at the time, U2 hadn't released a compilation and I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy four or five albums to get all the songs I liked by them.

The Bottom Line: Recommend it to what friend? A diehard U2 fan friend, no. One lost in the sea of U2-lessness, yes. Since I sadly know more of the latter, I'll say "yes."
