Cute banner for my son's Backyardigans birthday party!

The Backyardigans Happy Birthday Banner is really cute. Most of the time when buying party decorations for one of our kids’ birthday parties, I don’t normally buy a banner. When I was getting party stuff for our son’s party, I couldn’t resist buying this banner!

Description

This birthday banner stretches about 6 and a half feet when it is completely stretched out. It says Happy Birthday in all different colors and there are 3 parts that are circle shaped on both ends and one in the center featuring all of the backyardigans characters. Starting at the beginning, there is the first circle with a blue background with stars on it featuring Austin and Tyrone. Behind them, you can see one of their houses that they are standing in front of. Then we have a green H, yellow A, orange P, purple P, and a blue Y.

Next we have another circle picture with a green background with stars featuring Pablo. He is smiling big with arms open wide, standing in front of one of their houses too. There is also a slide that they have in their backyard. At the top of the circle it says “The Backyardigans” in yellow lettering outlined in green. Then we have a yellow B, an orange I, purple R, blue T, green H, yellow D, orange A, and a purple Y. Then we have the last circle with an orange background with stars. This one features Tasha and Uniqua. They are smiling and Uniqua has her arms crossed. They are also standing in front of a house like all the others.

The backgrounds don’t take away from the characters either. The backgrounds are fuzzy like there is a close-up of the characters. There is a green string loop on either end of the banner for easy hanging. Each letter is hooks together with a brass ring making the banner flexible for easy folding.

Performance/Opinion

I really like this banner. I actually save it like I do a lot of things. It folds up really nicely. The banner is made of a thicker cardboard but the letters can still bend if you’re not careful. When taking it out of the packaging, you have to unwind it. You cannot just pull it apart. The banner is glossy, looks really nice and is very colorful. I like the flexibility of the banner too because I hung it on the wall and made my own shape with it. It went great with the rest of the party decorations too! It was easy to hang and the brass rings that are in it makes it easy to use extra thumbtacks if needed when hanging it on the wall without sticking holes in the banner itself. It hangs really easily whether you are hanging it on the wall or hanging it from the ceiling. I recommended it to anyone having a Backyardigans themed birthday party. It’s really cute and the characters look authentic to the show and features all 5 of them!

Price/Availability

I bought this banner at our local Wal-Mart for less than $3.00. It was worth the price since it really wasn’t expensive. I have seen it with other Backyardigans decorations just about anywhere they sell party goods.
