In The Ears Of The Beholder - The Shure E2C

Date of Review:  Jul 10, 2007
The Bottom Line: A bit more expensive than they probably should be but worth the price. Additional ownership costs are annoying and unnecessary.
Review: Intro - I seem to have had a lifelong love affair with portable audio. As I noted in my earlier review of the Sandisk Sansa E 260 ( http://www.epinions.com/content_370631151236 ), I was into portable audio before iPod was ever a strange look on...

WOW?they ARE all that?!

Date of Review:  Mar 18, 2006
The Bottom Line: Any music lover--serious or casual--would benefit greatly from these...amazing sound reproduction, reasonably priced (esp. on the Internet), sturdy construction. Well thought out and engineeered!
Review: I'm going to start this review by telling you that I love music…and I've always wanted to take my music with me. I was one of the first in my neighborhood to own a cassette player in the early 70s…I worked up and through the Walkmans and...

Rediscover your music!

Date of Review:  May 26, 2007
The Bottom Line: Superb sound quality. May take time finding optimal fit but well worth it! Loves high quality encodings!
Review: The Dilemma

After the cable on my Sony MDR-EX81LP started to loose its rubber coating and the wires themselves started fraying after 2.5 years, it was about time to start researching a replacement / upgrade. Although the cutting edge style...

Shure E2c, one of the best headphones ever tried

Date of Review:  Dec 5, 2004
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended if you can spend the money they're worth (and if you have average ears!)
Review: I recently bought a pair of Shure E2c headphones to use with an MP3 Player. These headphones are one of the best I've ever tried, including high-end, over-the-ear models and I definitely recommend them.

The Shure E2c goes into the ear...

Impressive headphone

Date of Review:  Jul 30, 2007
The Bottom Line: With excellent sound quality, build quality, and sound isolation, this headphone is the way to go.
Review: After several pledging and begging to my parents for a year (they say I'm too young to have such expensive headphones(I'm 12)), I finally got to get these headphones.

The design

These headphones are special because:

Hi price, but Hi fidelity also

Date of Review:  Mar 1, 2005
The Bottom Line: Very high quality to match the price. Poor bass though. Bin the iPod standard earphones and splash out!
Review: I bought these to replace the earphones from my 20Gb iPod. Standard iPod earphones are like sticking tea cups in your ears, rather painful to say the least.

I had read that the quality from Shure is good. The E2C being the least expensive...

Shure's E2c: Best bargain right now?

Date of Review:  Jan 9, 2005
The Bottom Line: Get it if you want to spend less than $80 and want portable, excellent earphones!
Review: Introduction
I bought the E2c as replacements for my Sony EX71s which just stopped working in one ear... time for a sound upgrade anyhow.

The Earphones I was looking for were to be used whilst travelling to and from school on a noisy...

Had them for over a year and still impressed!

Date of Review:  Jan 11, 2007
The Bottom Line: These are truly a fantastic set of headphones. Had I spent twice as much for them, I would still consider these well worth it and a bargain at that.
Review: History:

I bought my e2c's 1.5 years ago for $80 and have no complaints at all. I am not going to go into the technicals but only how they have lasted up until this point (Jan '07).

Usage:

iPod - When at the gym or...

Surprising clarity, excellent fit

Date of Review:  Jun 23, 2006
The Bottom Line: An excellent set of in-ear headphones that produce a rich array of sound and are very comfortable to wear.
Review: After many years of faithful use from my set of Sony earbuds, I had gotten to the point where I was ready to try a slightly more sophisticated set of in-ear headphones (read: the rubber on the right cord was worn to the point where there was over an...

Good sound, but pricey and somewhat flimsy

Date of Review:  Dec 20, 2005
The Bottom Line: If these were more comfortable and better made, I might recommend them. But as it stands, I don't think they're worth the aggravation.
Review: I bought these because they received good reviews from the industry press and because, as a performing musician, I used Shure microphones for years and loved them.

First thing I noticed when unpacking them is that they came with a little...
