Wonderful Zoom Lens

I enjoy traveling photography. This is a wonderful zoom lens to use. Combined with my Nikon F5 and/or Nikon N80, its autofocus is fast, accurate and all of my pictures came out great. The lens is sturdy and well constructed. Manual focus is good. Plus, it also looks good with my cameras. Its 72mm filter size is perfect for using Cokin "P" series filters etc.

The only minor problem I encountered with it is when its used indoors with a slow speed film like 100 or slower. Even with a well sync'd flash, the pictures has a slight loss in sharpness. This is very minor and by using a higher speed film (which is recommended anyways for indoors)solved the problem.

I have decent blow ups from the shots I took from this lens. The 8 x 10's for most of the time looks very good. A significant loss of sharpness is noticed, especially on the corners when you blow up 11 x 17 or more. Otherwise this I give this lens a 4 out of 5 stars. Its not the best but its so fun to use, especially with kids.
