Disappointed Test Run

While on vacation I used my friend Amy's iron and discovered that all the irons I have ever owned have been junk. She had a Proctor Silex Clear Steam 14429. After using it on about 25 pieces of clothing, I was determined to own one of my own. However, after 6 stores I found no one stocked it. I called the company only to discover it was discontinued 6 years ago.

So off I went to discover a new frontier. This iron was not it. It drags on the fabric, its difficult to fill and it is cumbersome. Even with all of this I was ready to give it fair try and used it on my 6 year olds clothing. The top of the iron is so wide that you can't possibly do pleats, go around buttons or anywhere that requires a tight fit. Its going back to the store tonight
