Love at First Drive

Date of Review:  Nov 24, 2001
The Bottom Line: After you've driven it, there will be no question as to whether it's the car for you.
Review: I can't think of another vehicle that produces this type of
reaction from a certain breed of driving enthusiast. Everything else seems to be either a wanna-be, a poser, or a
pretentious snob compared to the WRX. It has everything a car...

2002 Owner since Aug. 01

Date of Review:  Jun 11, 2003
The Bottom Line: To anyone considering a purchase, I would say ...drive it.
Review: Not a bad choice for the money. Feels safe to drive and ride in. Great, precise handling. Smooth corners. Good gas mileage, especially highway miles. Air conditioner doesn't slow down power taxing the engine. Also, plenty of passing power with the 5...

Somewhat small inside, transmission failed @ 50,000

Date of Review:  Jul 16, 2008
Review: Over all good quality. Paint chips easily, road rash! Transmission completely failed, replaced @50000 miles under extended drive train warranty.

Arrrrggghhh!!!

Date of Review:  Jun 5, 2004
The Bottom Line: Buy a Toyota or Honda instead
Review: I own a 2002 Subaru WRX and I loved the car... When it wasn't in the shop for warranty work. I have now owned this vehicle since Febuary of last year (2003) with 9300 miles on it. I only drove the vehicle from Febuary until August. In the seven...

WRX Sedan - An Incredible Value

Date of Review:  Mar 6, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a low-cost, high-yield performance car, this is the one to buy.
Review: Let's just get it right out in front - for the money, there is simply no better car in terms of price to performance. The WRX series delivers on all performance counts right from the factory, and, with a little extra cash, can move into competition...

WRX Sportwagon

Date of Review:  Mar 8, 2002
The Bottom Line: Unless your family can field an NBA team, you need nothing more than a WRX Sportwagon!
Review: After a '89 Mustang 5.0, '94 Camaro Z28, '96 BMW 328is Sport and a '00 BMW 328i Sport I thought the WRX would be a step backwards. Not even close! It easily out "funs" all my other cars and it probably drives great in the snow. Only thing I miss is...

2002 Impreza GX hatch. idiosyncratic. excellent.

Date of Review:  Jul 4, 2002
The Bottom Line: Go ahead, you can't buy better in this class!
Review: Like SAAB, the Subaru's parent company also makes aircraft. That might explain why they, alone in the volume production car world, still make their cars with boxer engines. This is only one way in which the Subaru differs from the run of the mill...

In the US...Finally

Date of Review:  Apr 23, 2002
The Bottom Line: A true sports wagon that will leave Mustang GT owners wondering if their cars need servicing.
Review: Introduction
My room mate was in the market for a car. In spite of my problems with my Subaru Outback Sport, I turned him towards the Subaru WRX, and away from a BMW 325i. He wanted more sport than luxury. Since I knew the salespeople at the...

WRX what's all the fuss about

Date of Review:  Jun 29, 2002
The Bottom Line: Good all around package, but at this point in my life I want a car that doesn't make me work so hard to get it moving.
Review: I have read all the professional and amateur reviews on the Subaru Imprezza WRX I could find, and 99% of them raved about the car being the greatest thing since sliced bread. So, naturally I could not wait to finally test drive one, and to be frank,...

Impreza WRX SportWagon - A Blast!

Date of Review:  Dec 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: The Impreza WRX SportWagon is faster, more poised, and classier (in its own way) than its market segment competitors. Come to think of it, maybe it's in its own segment...
Review: I traded in a perfectly good '00 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner (SE V6) with low miles for an Alpine White Impreza WRX SportWagon in December of '01 because I wanted a vehicle with more class and amenities, and nearly the same utility. One year...
