Walk to the stars!

This movie is one of my favorite sci-fi movies. Imagine being able to travel through the universe by walking! What an amazing concept, go anywhere in an instant. I love to watch this movie every once and a while, it’s great. It’s a mix between Indiana Jones and Alien.

The movie sets and models are spectacular. I do wish there were more sets though. There are basically only four or five, but it only feels like two. I would have liked for a movie with such an amazing sense of exploration to take me all kinds of amazing places. Guess that’s where the 10 year running TV spin off takes us!

Even though it feels like the story is only in two places there is plenty of action and special effects. I don’t want to give too much of the movie plot away, but I do have to say I love movies where a group of hero’s overcome the insurmountable odds against them and beat the bad guy for a happy end.

At the end of the VHS movie that I have there is an excellent behind the scenes special that is as interesting and exciting as the movie it. They show off the sets, models, and special effects that help make the movie so good. It is a very enjoyable and entertaining addition to the film.
