Pros: 5 Mega Pixles, Features, Zoom, Style, Brandname, screen, batteries.
Cons: Size, Price
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to a photographer, but not the average person, it has to many features for the average person.

Review: Intro... I bought this at...
I bought this at a local store for around 800 dollars. After the taxes and warranty it came to about 950 dollars, so just expect that price hike. I was not sure if I should buy it, because after all, it... |

Pros: picture quality, vertical swiveling lens, video capture, great Carl Zeiss lens, rugged construction
Cons: electronic viewfinder, exposure sensitivity, not simple enough for true "point and shoot."
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this camera for the advanced beginner or enthusiast. A good intermediate stop on the way to professional level equipment.

Review: I have used this camera extensively for about 3.5 years and am now selling it in order to upgrade to an SLR with interchangeable lenses. It has faithfully and flawlessly performed on trips around the world. I've treated it nicely, but it is a very...

Pros: Fast Carl Zeiss lens.
Cons: Poor white balance. LCD blanks out with manual settings.
The Bottom Line: A fancy point and shoot with pretensions of being something more.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is an excellent camera from Sony. Sporting a Carl Zeiss lens, zooming from 38-190, being fast (f2.0) and coming in the shape that was started by the 505, this is a promising camera.
In full auto, out of the box, this machine takes... |

Pros: Lots of manual settings, 58mm lens/filters can be used
Cons: Somewhat bulky, comes with small memory stick
The Bottom Line: Buy it, use it, and you will be very satisfied. For some real fun, buy some filters and let your creativity flow.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I purchased my DSC-F707 about a year ago for $930, and till today I still recommend this camera to all my friends. I don't consider this to be a pure "point and shoot camera" (although it could be) or a "professional SLR", it's a little of both...

Pros: Affordable (eBay). Great step up from basic. Very flexible (read the manual!).
Cons: Accessory shoe is not hotshoe. Low nat light noisey.
The Bottom Line: Students and adults, ready to learn some more advanced digital? This is your camera. 5MP is just fine. Absolutely reliable. Rugged.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I've used this camera as a backup for a couple years and have few complaints. Despite the availability of 10MP+ cams now, I'd suggest this one for anyone who wants to enhance his/her knowledge of digital photography. (Great deals on it on eBay,...

Pros: Fast lens, fast startup time.
Cons: Proprietary memory stick
The Bottom Line: For anyone who takes there photographs seriously whether it be family, friends, scenery, tourism, etc... this is the camera to get.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: With the Carl Zeise lens at the head of this front heavy camera, you have an automatic winner. The pictures are sharp, very little distortion, only when you zoom in to the max.
Memory stick is a negative as they are still stuck at 128MB... |

Pros: HUGE resolution 5 megapixel! More zoom than average, easy to use.
Cons: Kind of pricey, could maybe use some more zoom.
The Bottom Line: This is definilty the camera for anyone who loves lots of options and features, if you can afford it, you should buy it!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: If you can find a camera with more features with better resolution for anywhere near this price, then you should buy it, otherwise, the 707 is for you. Unless you want to get into the pro-slr category and spend a few thousand, then this camera will...

Pros: Professional features, outstanding quality, excellent battery life
Cons: awkward to hold, no b/w mode
The Bottom Line: A "strong buy". Watch out for the gray market versions! If your price is too good to be true-- it probably is.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I admit it- I'm loyal to the Sony brand. From TVs to computers to stereo equipment, I usually go with Sony. I owned a DSC-P50 2MP digital camera before this one. I liked it so much, I wanted to get a top-of-the-line model to allow me greater...
