Amazing for the money

While this unit can be easily missed by most shoppers, it's apparent that Sony has the resources to do things right.
It takes about 1 minute to get a lock once you first turn it on. All subsequent activations take about 5-10 seconds to find you.
The unit does not have MP3 player or Bluetooth but I don't need to spend hundreds more for that option.
This unit runs on Windows CE and can be easily modified to run alternate programs. A third-party Points of interest program (POI-Warner) can be used to add limitless POIs.
The Navteq map is up-to-date and show roads in my area that are less than a year old.
Three speakers for excellent sound quality.
The screen auto senses lighting conditions and adjusts the contrast/brightness accordingly. If you don't like it, you can turn the option off and run it manually
It has dead-reckoning (if you go in a tunnel or lose GPS) and assumes where you are going.
While Sony does not advertise that upcoming roads are spoken, some major highways are vocalized "Turn left onto Hwy 123"
