What a great deal!

I cannot say enough about this camera.  I purchased the A100 body and a Tamron 28-300 lens and have never looked back.  Great pictures even in slower shutter speeds (1/10th of a second - handheld) with the Sony Steady Shot.  The Steady Shot being built into the body saves $$$ when buying lenses as compared to N---- and C---- whose steady shot is built into the individual lenses.

The battery life is incredible at over 700 shots per charge.  Out of habit, I always have a charged back up battery and have NEVER had to use it.

This camera is a direct descendant of the Minolta Digital SLR's and the majority of accessories/lenses/flashes work with the A100.

The only weaknesses I have found are:
1: the built in flash - like all built in flashes, is extremely weak but you can get non-Sony flashes with TTL capabilities reasonably.
2: with the original firmware the autofocus had some hesitation, but with the newer firmware it keeps up with the majority of the dslrs.  As the newer issued cameras have the newer firmwarer, this should no longer be an issue.
