Built to last, built for excellence

Many of the electronics in my apartment as of today are of the Sony brand and one thing I've come to expect is excellence. The sony dvd/vhs combo is no different, the quality of this product was well worth the money. First start off with the build of the machine; its a light metal not plastic like most players today, very durable, slim build and the silver fits in perfect with many decors. The plugs in the front were perfect for my ps2, plus the time display is very clear and easy to see in the dark and even in daylight. The plugs in the back are clearly labeled, color coordinated and easy to use; hooking up the surround sound, tv, cable and stereo system was way easy. Next the set up, the menu is easy to follow and easier to set up. the channel set up pretty much runs itself and switching to cable has never been easier. This player reads burned movies on cd-r or dvd-r, and is not to picky with surface scratches. There was one thing I didnt like and that was it does follow anit-coping built in vhs and dvd's. I tried making a copy of a couple vhs movies and it wouldn't let me, where my old vcr of less quality did. This player is pretty much compatible with most electronics and I haven't had any complaints about its performance so far. It's been about two years now and its still working in perfect condition, this is a player built to last and built for excellence.
