Very disappointed with this TV

The Bottom Line: Look at the TV in a store before you buy it.
Do not buy this TV. The edges of the images are watery/distorted. The more motion in the scene, ie. a football game, the worse the picture gets. Three different HD sources using component and HDMI inputs were used to verify the problem was in the TV. The picture was no better with a HD source than it was using basic cable and the TV's tuner. Sony warranty was contacted and a servicer came and took the TV back to their shop and found that there was nothing they could do to make the picture acceptable. They said that the TV was within Sony specifications. A second call to Sony warranty was made and they found a second warranty center to get a second opinion. This service center replaced several major parts starting with the jack panel on the back of the TV. After seeing no difference in the picture ribbon cables connecting the various boards were replaced, finally the LCD panel itself was replaced but the problem did not go away. Sony warranty was contacted again and agreed to replace the TV. After checking the same model TV out at several electronics stores and seeing the same problem it was explained to Sony that we would be exchanging TVs every 4 months unless they just agreed to take this model back. They finally agreed to take the TV back after four months trying to correct the problem.
