Author's Review
I have always owned Sony televisions and have never been disappointed. When we went shopping for a larger flat screen TV,we new we could trust Sony, and we were right! The Sony Bravia 40 inch LCD flat screen HDTV is the best purchase I have ever made! The picture is so crisp and clear. Now I think we need to purchase one for every room!
Not only did we purchase the Sony Bravia, it turns out that 3 people that we know researched and purchased the Sony Bravia as well. It really is a great TV and I would HIGHLY recommend the Sony Bravia V-Series TVs to anybody who is looking to purchase a new television set.
HDTV (high Definition TeleVision)
This is my first HDTV and now I'm spoiled. I can hardly watch TV on a non-HDTV anymore. All the televisions in the Sony Bravia V-Series have full HD, which means they have a 1920 x 1080 panel resolution and over 2 million pixels, which is the best quality resolution in high-definition televisions, and 1080p video inputs.
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
The Sony Bravia is equipped a variety of input interfaces. The HDMI is an all digital audio/video interface. In addition, you can hook up your computer to this television! The PC input is very easy to use so that you can instantly have a 40 inch computer monitor. This is great for viewing photos, entertaining friends with a photo slide-show with music, for playing computer video games, or just browsing the Internet on a huge screen!
Speakers
The Sony Bravia has speakers on the bottom of the TV set. The speakers are fine, but much better with an external surround sound stereo set up.
History
The Sony Bravia V2500 replaced the Sony XBR1 models. The Bravia V2500 was one of the first LCD televisions to have a fully capable 1080p HDMI input.
Price
We spent about $2000 in February 2007. Now they are going for much less.
