Best-buy sound!

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you need simple stereo then this is worth the price for jazz voice, pop, and rock. The midrange is awesome!
Review: Sherwood RX4103

I need to have an inexpensive receiver to drive my two Cambridge Audio Ambience speakers. I used to use RZ7000 Sansui (cost me about $550 in 1990) to drive them.
Since I am going to use the receiver only for those...

Good Stereo Receiver for the Price

Date of Review:  Mar 27, 2009
The Bottom Line: Anyone looking for an affordable and powerful receiver will not be dissappointed with this value driven product.
Review: A couple of reviewers stated that this receiver suffers from a lack of bass. I have my RX-4103 hooked up to a pair of Polk Monitor 5 series II and there is nothing lacking from the sound of this receiver. The highs are good, the mids are great, and...

An impulse buy, big mistake

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you're looking in this price range you should consider a minisystem. Trust me you'll have better sound quality for about the same price, just don't buy this!
Review: Overall the reciever is very user friendly, possibly one of it's few good qualities. The manual proved to be relatively unnecessary. I could easily attach all my components without drama and a mess of wires. Programing stations and adjusting tone...

Not that bad for the money

Date of Review:  Jun 4, 2002
The Bottom Line: For $89.00 it was a deal. I would not pay any more for this unit though. Would I recommend this to a friend, for $89.00 yes.
Review: First of all, I don't recall anywhere on the box of the unit or in the manual that it stated, "Dolby Pro Logic". I believe this unit is not Dolby Pro Logic.

I wanted to purchase a "very" cheap receiver for my den. I already have an...

Awful and possibly dangerous product

Date of Review:  Feb 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: This a potentially dangerous and very expensive product
Review: Purchased mine at Circuit City after many years of satisfaction with a Sherwood receiver I use in my studio. Got it home, used it for about a week in my living room and then one evening when it was not being used(but was powered on, with volume left...

So far so good...............

Date of Review:  Feb 13, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for basic stereo with no frills , reasonably priced, this is a good buy.
Review: I bought it about a week ago at Radio Shack. The price, of course, caught my eye first. My first integrated amp, when I was a college kid , was a Sherwood . It was an old vacuum tube set , not much power - but astonishingly clean sound.

I...
