Can't live without it,

I've never owned a Sharp R530 Microwave before, you see I'm a loyal Kenmore person or should I say I was. My Kenmore microwave had died and left me without. I was eating out the next day and planning to take a doggy bag home when I suddenly realized, NO MICROWAVE! So the food would be wasted. My husband said, let's go buy a new one and that's what we did. The discount store we selected didn't have a wide choice of microwaves and basically the Sharp was the largest one they had. That's how our purchasing choice was decided.

Other than taking up much needed counter space (my Kenmore was a built in and can't be removed very easily without taking out the stove), I love this Sharp microwave!!!

For the first time, I am able to cook popcorn and not burn it. In the past, my husband had to make the popcorn but now even the kids can make popcorn and not burn it.

I have younger children and they are both learning to use the microwave since we purchased the Sharp. They love the popcorn feature the best.

The sensor heat is also a wonderful feature for items that you're not totally sure how long to cook and at what setting. This seems to be used quite a lot again by my children.

The large capacity size makes it wonderful to cook 9x13 pans of lasagna. It also is very accommodating for the smallest of items too.

My only complaint so far would be that the microwave is so light weight that it moves very easily when cleaning it. I keep having to move it back to it's original spot, after being pushed to far back on the counter.

Sometimes I have difficulty replacing the carousel tray in the proper slots. The carousel is pretty big and a little difficult to handle. I'm always afraid I'll drop it and glass will be everywhere. I've often wondered why can't they make those trays out of something other than glass. Who knows maybe Sharp will the be first to make that discovery.

The Sharp R530 is so easy to operate that every household should own one. Like everyone else, we began using our microwave without really reading the instructions first and have not had any real difficulties.

If you haven't purchased a microwave yet, I would definitely recommend making a Sharp purchase.
