A 'Think-Free' Microwave
Pros:
Too many to list in 15 words. Without a doubt, it heats thoroughly.
Cons:
None, unless you bought it by mistake, while preferring a larger or smaller size.
The Bottom Line:
Recommended...the Sharp R230B is frequently utilized by many in my office. We use it for anything from warming coffee to heating frozen foods. However, it does much more.

Author's Review
Naturally when the boss asks us to purchase something for the office the majority of us are going to seek out the very best item at the lowest cost.
It was requested that I go shopping for a microwave. My boss requested, "Don't get one too big or one too small. You know... get one just right."
I thought, 'Impossible.' He has little kids, and there for a minute he sounded like he was about to tell me the story of the three bears. Of course, most any of us desire meeting our boss's requirements. We, too, want it 'just right.'
Off I drove to BestBuy, and my God, I'd never seen so many microwaves in my life. The shelves were filled with different brands, various sizes and colors, which totally complicated my decision-making. This is not what I expected.
I looked at microwaves, checked prices, and read tags, perused the wattage, and gazed through microwave pamphlets for over an hour. I relentlessly did a thorough check on all medium-sized microwaves.
Some of these appliances had one feature while another microwave had yet another feature. Which would he prefer? Um...for a while there, it was very frustrating, figuring out which item to keep, and which to give up. 'What will it be?' I wondered. As I was noticing my legs tire, I noticed a miracle.
Yes...the answer arrived. When I saw the Sharp R230B Series Mid-Size Microwave, my problem was resolved. I purchased the 900-watt microwave, had the sales rep. carry it to my car, and then I returned to the office.
This microwave comes with every feature imaginable, and then some. Should you be searching for a microwave of medium size, not to worry. There is no good reason to look further.
I chose black because several folks in the office would be using it. I figured the black would not show dirt or grease prints like the white microwave. Later, I realized it doesn't matter. This microwave is easy in every way, including cleaning. Some of us simply use a little bit of liquid dish detergent with a damp cloth. We wipe it out and then rinse. It's amazing what a great cleaning job is done, with very little effort.
The Sharp R230B Mid Size Microwave does everything but talk to you. Following this statement I may not sound "trustworthy," but I'll gladly take the risk. If anyone is searching for a microwave, I, at least, want them to read this opinion, and then they can select what they desire.
The Sharp R230B Series has defrost pads specifically designed to thaw whatever category of food you wish to defrost. Meat? Rolls? Veggies? Whatever...
Expect a built-in timer, which buzzes to let you know when whatever it is you are thawing is done. If your food is not yet done to suit your preference, then simply press the same pad once again. That is as difficult as it gets.
This Sharp Microwave also comes with charts, indicating specific information concerning various categories of foods you wish to prepare.
For the office there is no reason to use the Multiple Sequence Cooking, but it is available just in case. This can be programmed in accordance with the instructions on any recipes, offering temperature variety while cooking.
The clock on this microwave has very clear numbers...certainly not the case with 'every' microwave.
The only feature that my boss specifically requested, other than the size, was a turntable. This Sharp R230B Series has a turntable that can be removed for cleaning.
'Auto Start' is a neat feature that I'd never seen or used before on a microwave. This probably will not be used in the office, but it's available should there be a reason to utilize it. In actuality, this is used the same way one would program their coffee pot to come on at a certain time. Another delightful and 'easy to use and understand' feature.
There is also a safety lock, should kids be close by.
The 'Minute Plus'pad is great for putting in that little extra cooking time. I've used this feature frequently, touching it sometimes more than once. It's rather self-explanatory. Just touch the 'minute plus' for exactly that...one more minute. Of course, you can open the microwave door at any time while cooking is in process.
You can almost view this microwave, and then know what to do in order that it function as you wish. For instance, when you see the word, 'popcorn' on the pad, simply press that pad to pop your corn. VOILA, your popcorn is timed without you having to think.
The same is true with 'potato.' Simply press the pad, and the microwave will figure out how long it takes. Should you have six potatoes in the microwave, simply press 'potato' pad six times. It is programmed in ones.
It was not until I got to the Sharp that I noticed a multitude of features...even more than I realized during my search. Prior to this discovery, I was trying to decide what to sacrifice. Well...with the Sharp R230B Mid Size Microwave, there is nothing to sacrifice. I rate it a "10."
Why? It not only pleased my boss, it pleased 'all' the employees...me, included. It has been setting in the same place for two years, yet it looks like new. There has never been reason to use the warranty that comes with it.
The Sharp R230B Series Mid Size Microwave has been used daily and by a number of employees. It has cooked various foods, thawed, heated, and popped.
Never has there been a single complaint. The most frequently heard words in our office on a daily basis are are, "Good Morning," "See you tomorrow," and "Is anyone using the microwave right now?"
