Why did they bother?
Pros:
Great fashion, music, location shots, characters
Cons:
A total burp inbetween 1,2,3,4 & 6, writing needs development
The Bottom Line:
You have to buy it because Season 6 is the best!!!

Author's Review
There are addicting shows and addicting shows, but SATC takes the cake. I was totally rev'd by the 5th season, only to get a few episodes or the entire year. So, Carrie and Miranda both pregnant in their personal lives made it almost impossible to squeeze what episodes they did. I didnt find the episodes and season really had no continuity or depth of meaning, as the previous seasons, and almost wish that 6 wouldve come right after 4. A total let down for me.
While watching this season, I was almost thinking that it shouldve stopped at 4, before the viewer gets that feeling that the writers have dried up. And is it me, or was this season more crass than the others, and the stories right out of left field. When you buy separately its still priced the same as the others regardless of the fewer episodes.
When I rented the entire series, honestly I almost fast forwarded right on to season 6. I really missed the Carrie-Big ambiguity/stress episodes and the hope that they would finally make it as a couple. If I have to pick one episode from season 5 that was great, that stuck in my mind, it would be, "Anchors away". I loved the sailors, and the guy that danced with Carrie as well as the remix of the Temptations song.
