The Bottom Line: I would recommend it to everyone, who is planning to buy some headphones of this prize level and wants to get perfect sound, comfort and other advantages. Definitely excellent product
I collected money for some time to buy my first "real headphones". I knew one thing. It must be Sennheiser HD 280 Pro - design is excellent, circumaural earcups are very comfortable to wear. Sound is very clear, huge and with enough bass and highs...8-25000 Hz is nice frequency response.I saw them in one audiophile magazine and it was the first-look love. The manipulation is very good, coiled cable is for me better because of no knotting problem - i do not spend time unwinding it. 1-3 meters (min-max) is enough. Connectors are standard and OK. Package is very well equipped - headphones, nice manual and adapter from small to big jack connector.
I bought them as headphones to the computer, for accurate and clear MP3 and CD playback, sometimes to use with HiFi system or with portable sources of sound - and for everything these headphones are excellent. It is not impossible to take them out, listen walking or during a home-school or home-work travel.
My dream of professional (for me) and clear sounding headphones, designed to use in studios and for monitoring applications come true :))
