A Scooby-Dooby-Doo-licious Take!

Hey guys! Now that I've done a review for a bad cartoon-to-movie adaptation, let's "doo" a good one with everyone's favorite Great Dane.

Scooby-Doo is back, larger than life! This time, he's got more problems on his paws than just ghosts and monsters. After solving the case of the Luna Ghost in Wow-O-Toy Factory, Mystery, Inc. splits up, leaving Fred (Freddie Prinze, Jr., Summer Catch, I Know What You Did Last Summer) to do a book-lecturing career, Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar, the WB's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cruel Intentions) to practice kung fu or some other form of martial arts, Velma (Linda Cardellini, Legally Blonde, The Prince and the Surfer) to enroll in a self-esteem improvement course, and Shaggy (Matthew Lillard, Thir13en Ghosts, Hackers) and Scooby-Doo (voiced by Neil Fanning) to hang out in the Mystery Machine, all doing what they do best.

Two years later, all are reunited to go on one last case together: to help the owner of Spooky Island, Emile Mondevarious (Rowan Atkinson, Rat Race, The Lion King as Zazu), to rid the park of a curse afflicting the college students. Once there, they are bombarded with clues that make no sense, a crazy named N'Goo Tauna (Steven Grives, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, Joey), a strange voodoo man (Miguel Nunez, The Adventures of Pluto Nash, Juwanna Mann), and a mysterious artifact called the Daemon Ritus. Not only that, but for some strange reason, everyone is going after Scooby and not the "meddling kids" this time around....

Scooby-Doo is the perfect kids movie! Everyone plays their part to perfection, especially Matthew Lillard as Shaggy. If you had never seen him before, you would swear Shaggy came alive right out of the cartoon! Rowan Atkinson gives an outstanding performance as the all-too cheery park owner and such. Finally, who can forget to mention Scooby-Doo? He rocks seriously! Can't wait for his sequel!

This DVD is loaded with features, including deleted scenes (really watch the scenes where everyone flashbacks to what they've done for the past two years), the making of Scooby-Doo, and even a two-player trivia game! The reason I love this movie so much is because I love Scooby-Doo. My favorite episode is when Scooby and the gang have to go after a ghostly werewolf who is very interested in sheep. My favorite line from that one is when Shaggy goes "How about that? A pop-top barge!" That always cracks me up.
