Sandisk M250

Date of Review: Dec 27, 2006

We have 2 Sandisk M250s with 2 GB and 2 Creative Muvo TX FM with 512 MB. We bought the Sandisks to upgrade the memory size and they were about $30 cheaper than equivalent Creatives on the web. We use them for listening to books from downloaded mp3 files.

We are disappointed with the sound quality of the Sandisks. They sound scratchy with annoying static. The creatives sound is crisp and clear. Since that's the main reason you buy these things, it's significant.

The sandisk has a bigger screen that's easier to read and has a fast reverse that you can begin from the end of the track. The fast forward on the Creative is faster though.

You're less like to accidently turn on the Sandisk then the Creative and the Sandisk has a hold switch that I never have had to use.

Pros
Cheap. Easy to operate. Reverse from end of track.
Cons
Static in playback sounds scratchy.
