Good Value for the Money

The Bottom Line: Good DVD player for the money - good upconversion and versatile.
I recently purchased this DVD player to complement my Samsung 46" LCD TV. I have been very pleased with this picture. The player is connected to the TV via an HDMI cable and produces an excellent picture. It has the option to upconvert to 720P, 1080i, and 1080P - you can tell a real difference with the player set at 1080P versus your standard DVD player. In addition, it plays your .jpeg and .mp3 files, and has its own on screen menu for both. You can set the player to run in a slideshow mode so you can have pictures playing in the background on your TV. The DVD player is very slender and is in a matching piano finish to the Samsung HDTVs.
The only feature this DVD player is lacking is on the display. The display only displays the cummulative time, and not the current track that is playing. Therefore, when searching for a song or specific track on a DVD/CD it may take some time to find it since the track is not read out.
Overall, the DVD player is definitely worth the money. It is by no means a top of the line DVD player, but if you are looking for a DVD player to provide you with upconversion and not spend alot of money, this is the DVD player for you.
