Author's Review

I was originally given this carseat as a shower gift for my oldest son (2 years old now) and loved it. At the time we were driving an extended cab pickup and with the base it was impossible to reach him when he was rear-facing, but without the base it was just fine. We also had to prop the front up, but that is an issue with the vehicle, not the chair. We bought a Ford Escape and had no problem moving it into the new car. It is a heavy carseat, so it is not something that you want to be moving from vehicle to vehicle on a regular basis. We now have a new baby (3 months old) who is too long for his infant carrier and I have scoured the net to find this carseat again. (It is no longer carried in the stores in my area.) I was even willing to pay a small fortune for the shipping in order to get this seat. I did find that when using it with a rear facing infant who cannot hold their head up very well, it helps to have the headrests that you can buy as well as the carseat strap covers. When the child is old enough to be forward facing, it is nice because it sits up very high and makes it easier for the curious little ones to see out the side windows.
