Too Heavy To Carry With Baby

This is the Safety 1st Designer 22 car seat, also available in blue print. Comes with base and fits most Safety 1st strollers as a snap in.

I was given 2 of these Safety 1st car seats with base as a baby shower gift for my twins. They were purchased at Walmart in Canada. I have the blue pattern ones.

Some things I like about this car seat are as follows; I like that it is easily removed from base with a touch of a button and a tilt upwards. It matched the double stroller we had purchased and the design was fairly attractive.

Some things I didnt like about this car sear are as follows; it is EXTREMELY heavy with a baby in it, the car seat alone and empty is fairly heavy. It is not easy to lift the car seat with a baby nor is it easy to walk with the car seat if the baby is strapped in. The harness is confusing and is easily tangled. Adjusting the straps is a pain, is confusing and I had to constantly refer to the guide book. The umbrella over the carseat to protect baby from sunlight is annoying and is constantly slipping forwards or backwards. Both babies have outgrown this car seat by 5 months. The price was not acceptable for this car seat. At $120 each I found it to be WAY overpriced. The car seat lasted 4 months and now we have to buy 2 convertible ones at upwards of $150-300 each. It was a rip off for what it "offers" and I DO NOT recommend this car seat to anyone.
