Very Disappointing

I have owned Rowenta products for many years. They used to be absolutely wonderful and reliable. However, within the past 5 years I have had nothing but problems. The DZ9080 is the second Advancer I have purchased, and has similar problems to the one it replaced barely six months ago. It heats inconsistently, is sometimes too hot and other times not hot enough. It spits and/or leaks water even though I empty the water tank after each use. Sometimes it spits out sediment along with the water (I use bottled spring water since our tap water is full of iron and minerals). I have contacted Customer Service to express my disappointment but they basically say "tough luck". The store from which I purchased the iron will not take it back, saying that my complaints are "obviously manufacturing issues." I shall not buy another Rowenta.
