quality & service questionable

I purchased this heater based on research and consumer reviews. I was delighted with its appearance and performance–it really heated my room in a hurry. However, after about a month, the thermostat broke. I took it in for an authorized warranty repair, where it has now been waiting for a part from DeLonghi for over two months. (I've had excellent service from the repair place on other products). DeLonghi customer service refuses to talk to customers about a warranty repair and will only talk to the repair facility. Letters to the company have had no effect. After two months, winter is now gone. I think they should have sent out a replacement, but obviously DeLonghi doesn't care about customer service.
